Create a faux walk-in closet
Some of us have one time or another thought of how we could create a faux walk-in closet. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a walk-in closet? Even just a small one? It would great to be able to get into a separate and private space just for donning or changing into your work clothes.
A place, no matter how small, that is just right and has all the little spaces for storing your clothes and accessories keeping them out sight in your main living area.
I am assuming that of us living in smaller but not tiny homes. apartments and condos can do this With IKEA’s Bedroom Layout Trick.
Creating the faux walk-in closet
If you have a more than just squeeze room in your bedroom you can try this. The main idea here is to pull your bed away from the wall to create a small space between the bed and the wall.
With the headboard acting as a divider. This creates the illusion of having your own small private space. And would be your general walk-in closet area. When you create a faux walk-in closet, this wouldn’t really be an actual walk-in closet but doing so creates space or makes your bed room sectional.
In Ikea’s trick the faux walk-in has to separate sections. one section is for organizing accessories and a make-shift dresser. The other section is for hanging clothes, storage of suit cases.
One plus to creating this new sectional is this takes away the clutter of otherwise clean clothing on your bed or other places in your room. This makes for a more organized closet and dresser at the same time.
