The possibilities of such a task are endless. We need to employ some creativity to create an atmosphere that functional and at the same time conducive.  Depending on how much you are willing to spend on such conversion, you may find yourself either doing your own furniture or repurposing some old ones. There would always be places where you can buy pre-loved office furniture. I find that old furniture usually is more sturdier than new ones.

What is basic in a home office, no matter how small, is a place to organize your books, files, and stuff in like a cabinet or a shelf. You would also need a table where your laptop or PC can fit in, and with room to spare. You also need an extra AC outlet, a small fan, or a small air-conditioning unit.  Your home office would be using natural light. If it is too bright you can buy some blinds or some curtains.

Decorating can be framing and putting pictures of your family on the wall or it can be as simple as just painting the walls in a neutral color.

If you are the freelancer type of person or someone who brings office work home, converting an empty or sometimes misused balcony or terrace may save some of the Living area space for entertainment for the family.

Here are some ideas on how you can reclaim and use your balconies either for home or for business.
